WHO WANTS TO BEAT EDDIEMACCCCCCCCCC?!? All of you with as freaking easy as I’m making this. Last week provided a fantastic look at why making picks on Thursday is just a miserable plan. But sacrifices must be made for stupid interweb games, right? Carry on.
#20 Notre Dame @ #10 Michigan St. (-6)
Pick: Notre Dame
Result: 20-3 ND, WIN
Oooooooooooooh Lordy that game was way more fun to watch than Purdue. ND’s defense was flat out dominant. Stephon Tuitt continues to make people wonder why anyone gives a damn Lynch left and Manti Te’o, after a horrible week in his personal life, just dominated on the defensive end. All world RB Leveon Bell was held to a highly reasonable 77 yards on 19 tries, with no TDs. Just a damn good performance.
#1 Alabama (-20) @ Arkansas
Result: 52-0 Bama, LOSS
Welp, when you make a pick based on a QB playing and he doesn’t, you pretty much know what to expect. Arkansas’ season is just in shambles while Nick Saban continues to be the torture dealing evil genius he’s always been. Just a brutal year, sorry hawgbros.
#2 USC (-9) @ #21 Stanford
Result: 21-14 Stanford, LOSS
Well well well, the nerds strike again for the 4th year in a row. Again with injuries, USC was left without their starting center and the Stanford D-Line just abused USC the entire game. Matt Barkley threw back to back picks which Kiffykins called the 2 worst decisions he’s ever seen Barkley make. Good news: I’m not as scared of USC after watching Stanford dominate the line of scrimmage. Bad news: I’m way more worried about Stanford than I thought I’d have to be this year.
#14 Texas (-10) @ Ole Miss
Pick: Ole Miss
Result: 66-31 Texas, LOSS
I just flat out missed this pick. Texas just took Ole Miss behind the woodshed. Ash had a great game, throwing for 4 tds, and fresh off the Olympics, Marquise Goodwin put up 182 yards on only 4 touches. That’s silly.
#18 Florida @ #23 Tennessee (-3)
Result: 37-20 UF, LOSS
Once again, another example of a game I bet against my pick due to more knowledge when the game got closer. UF starting the year off with 2 SEC road wins will make people feel considerably better. At least until they get to the meat of their schedule. Sadly living with Bray means as many awesome picks as it does awesome TDs.
