A lot of people hovering around the 50% winning percentage mark (full list here) while I continue to flail about. Posting on Thursdays is a terrible idea. But we do what we must. TO THUNDERDOME!
Season Record thus far: 13-16-1 (43%)
BYU @ #5 Notre Dame (-14)
Pick: Notre Dame
I don’t love this line. I think ND should be able to handle this game without too much heartburn, but BYU does have a fairly stingy defense. Combine that with a very questionable offense in ND and a huge question mark at QB with Golson coming off a concussion, and I could see this being close. That said, I’m not about to mess with any bad juju here.
#7 South Carolina @ #2 Florida (-3)
I went with the Cocks on the road last week, and while they lost, they covered. I don’t feel like doing that two weeks in a row. I’ll take the Gators in the Swamp here.
#4 Kansas State @ #13 West Virginia (-3)
The number 4 team in the land a dog? Many people would jump at this. Not me. I’m predicting angry Holgo comes out and tries to put up 90. The Wildcats are quite good, don’t get me wrong. But this reeks of an angry point dump.
#6 LSU (-3.5) @ #18 Texas A&M
Pick: Texas A&M
LSU is very good, but their first trip to Kyle is an 11 AM kickoff? That’s asking for some shenanigans. Plus, I’m expecting more ownage from Johnny Football. We know the Aggies can score, can LSU slow em down enough to keep up? I’m thinking upset.
#1 Alabama (-20.5) @ Tennessee
It’s been awhile since we’ve done a big line on here. There is little question that Bama will destroy Tennessee. Can they cover? I say yes, the heartless, soulless death machine of Nick Saban will indeed roll on here.
Go get em tigers, sports, and champs.
