Agents of SHIELD

Yup, I’m totally in. 1st episode was fun, lots of potential, and the new girl who was Rising Tide is super hot and kind of has an Olivia Munn thing going for her. It’s also Marvel + Whedon which is two of my favorite things. Plus Coulson is back, and he owns. I’m excited for more of this.

NBC renews Community for 13-episode fourth season

It’s only 13 episodes, but it’s also not guaranteed to be the last season.

Way better news than I expected when the hiatus happened. Here’s hoping it’s not the last 13.

I know Sorkin can rub people the wrong way but…

If you’ve never seen it, just watch the Pilot of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. The writing is just insanely inspired. Especially when you take into account all of the coke issues that got Aaron Sorkin (the guy behind this show, the West Wing, and arguably my favorite show of all time: Sports Night) into some trouble. I think the death knell of the show was the fact that it came out the same year as 30 Rock. Much like with Sports Night, Studio 60 bounced between Drama and Comedy about every 2 minutes. Personally, I enjoy it. I never put Studio 60 on the same level of Sports Night, but that could be my undying dream of being a sportscaster that I continue to refuse to let go to. Oh well. As for Studio 60, it’s a damn shame they only got 1 season. Perry and Whitford carry a big part of the load, but Amanda Peet actually stands out the most for me. She kills the deadpan humor expertly written for her every time. Hell of a show, if you have Netflix, just check out the first 2 episodes. The early part of the season was much better than the latter. But you can chalk that up to shows on the chopping block getting desperate, look at Arrested Development. Just trust me, check it out.

"The second-season finale last Friday brought in only 74,000 viewers. In television ratings terms, that’s a flatline: Nielsen rated the show 0.0 among the 18-49 demographic. Yesterday, Starz announced it was canceling the show. “Party Down” may go down as the most beloved unwatched series in history. Blessed with a top-rate cast and a Paul Rudd producing credit, “Party Down” was dark, witty, and often plain awesome."

Not even the internet could save ‘Party Down’ | Capital New York

Incredible. Television is dead. Long live television.

I feel like I need to apologize, I’m one of the jackasses that never watched this show. Now, to be fair, I don’t even think I get Starz, and I had never even heard of this show until about 2 weeks ago. After finally learning about it, I got through all 20 episodes in under 2 days. If you have Netflix, it’s on Netflix instant. Trust me, unless you hate fun, check this show out. It really is hilarious and amazingly well written. On another note, I’m not necessarily sure it ending is the worst thing ever. It wrapped up pretty well, and with 2 main characters likely not able to come back due to other shows, it may have gone downhill really quick. Either way, this is greatness. Get on it.
