`Another not amazing slate of games, but I’ll take a mediocre to down slate to no football, because no football was a sad way to live. Results are behind this magic word and you all know how this works by now. Game on
I’m gonna try to not just spend an entire post typing in emojis because my heart is so full of joy, but I make no promises. How’d we all do, kids?
Welcome back for week 2 of our little pick game. If you did not see them, the results went up during the lunch hour. If you don’t know what’s going on, here were my hilaribad week 1 picks along with simple things like rules and all that. Follow the jump for week 2 picks (spoiler alert: there will be hatred and profantiy) and don’t forget to make your picks in the comments. Even if you missed week 1, now is as good a time as any to jump in.
Football has blessed us with its return and I welcomed it with being terrible, as is the tradition. Join me, won’t you?
FOOTBALL IS FINALLY BACK! The long, godforsaken offseason is finally over. For those of you who have played before: welcome back. To new followers or those who haven’t joined in: welcome, come play along, wont you? Each week I will pick some college football games, usually 5, with ND’s always included because I’m a homer, and then the 4 (or more if a super stacked slate) games I find to be the best, most interesting lines, or easiest for jokes. Games will be picked against the spread. I will post the picks on Thursday, which yes, opens up to line movement. For this little game, just pick against the line I post. The regular season is just for pride and bragging. There will be a Bowl contest like the last few years with GLORIOUS REAL LIFE PRIZES on the line. I was, in a word, horrendous last year, finishing with a 45% clip. A monkey with a coin probably could’ve beat me. My good friend Kristin beat the holy hell out of everyone, taking the regular season and the bowl contest by a healthy margin, finishing at a very impressive 57% winning clip. Anyway, the game is simple, hit the jump for this week’s picks and please leave yours in the comments. COLLEGE FOOTBALL BACK WOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I have no idea. This year is super weird. If I had to pick 4 for the playoffs I’d go FSU, Sparty, UCLA, and either Georgia or LSU, haven’t made up my mind yet. It should be Oregon’s year but I’m too pro Myles Jack to pick against UCLA. Honestly tho, this year is gonna be super weird. Here it is in video form:
ND has a bye but I’m not taking one. However, I am currently sick so I blame any missed picks (and stupid things which have already been corrected) on illness/drug induced wrongness. Game on.
Push the button, see the results #science
Notre Dame (and myself) will be heading to Dallas this weekend for a game I’m a hell of a lot more worried about than I was preseason. There are also other games in the sport of collegiate footballing. Let us wager upon them, yes?
I hope your week went better than Tommy Rees. Jump it
We survived the terribleness of last week and have some pretty good matchups to make up for it all. Let’s do the damn thing after the jump.
Well, those were games technically. That was a terrible slate, but picks must be made. How’d we do?
Welp, after last week having the game of the year of the century of the millennium, we have a terrrrrrrrrrrible slate this week. Oh well, shitty CFB is wayyyy better than no CFB. Let’s do the damn thing.
Some amazing games this week, but man do I hate my team. Just so little good about this team. Hell Tommy Rees is in the Top 5 players that I trust. Eesh. Jump for result time
